FRIENDS of Smithville Public Library

There is nothing quite as wonderful as Great Friends

A public library is not complete without their Friends of the Library Group; and we are no exception!  Our fantastic Friends of the Library are a vital part of so many functions associated with the Smithville Public Library.  They work hard earning money, volunteering, making suggestions, etc. Our Friends provide support for the Summer Reading Club, Teens Read, Little Bookworms, Book Sales, Book Discussions, Open House, Game Day for Senior Citizens, National Library Week, and so on - I think you get the picture...

The Friends of the Smithville Public Library is a non-profit, non-policy making organization of area residents and business people who are working to promote the programs, services and growth of the library.  Contributions to the Friends of the Library are used for only one purpose - to supplement the resources of the library.  The organization meets quarterly at 5 pm on the first Thursday of September, March, June and December. If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Library please let us know.

Our Current Friends of the Library Officers are:

Sam Kuninger..........................President
Kristin Appel............................Vice President/Membership
Diana Kuninger.........................Secretary
Donna Hahn.............................Treasurer
Carol Snyder............................Publicity Chair
